The Point Loma Region has two lighthouses and Shelter Island, the older of the two manmade islands in San Diego Bay. The San Diego Watercolor Society is also located on Point Loma, at NTC Promenade in Liberty Station, the former Naval Training Center. |

| Shelter Island West, Near Friendship Bell - Rosecrans to Shelter Island Dr. turn left keep going, bear right following road all the way to the west end to Harbor Police area. |

| Shelter Island Pier (or Launch Ramp) - Point Loma—Rosecrans Ave. to Shelter Island Dr. turn left then bear right at traffic circle. Enter parking lot to the left. |

| Coast Guard Lighthouse - I-8 to Nimitz to Catalina Blvd. When you are almost to the entrance to Cabrillo Monument you will see a driveway on the right Follow it down the hill to parking lot. Do not enter lighthouse grounds - private residences. . |
