East County locations are a good choice during months when the coast is too cool or cloudy - generally late winter and early spring. By summer, watercolor painting more than a few miles east of the coast can be very challenging due to the heat and dry air.
		Lake Murray (pictured above) - I-8 to Lake Murray Blvd. Exit. Go north a short distance and turn left on Kiowa Dr. to the lake.
		Trinity Presbyterian, Spring Valley - 3902 Kenwood Dr., Spring Valley (Betty’s Church)—Take Highway 94 to Campo Rd. exit—Kenwood is first right turn—top of hill to sign. Or take I-8 to Spring St. then left on Campo Rd.. Kenwood is first right turn off Campo Rd. Great view of east county and Mt Helix).
		Flynn Springs Park - I-8 east to Lake Jennings Park Rd., east on Old Hwy. 80 to park. Lots of parking, $1 entry fee.
		Lakeside Lindo Lake Park - Highway 67 to Mapleview, turn east, then turn right on Maine St., then left on Chestnut, park on south side of the park. Lake, park scene.
		Summer’s Past Farm - Take I-8 east to Lake Jennings Exit, then turn east onto Old Highway 80. After 2 or 3 miles look for Summers Past Farms entrance on left.
