Balboa Park

Balboa Park is San Diego's most visited paintout area, with 1400 acres of subject matter ranging from gardens and canyons to museums, theatres and restaurants featuring fascinating architecture.

If you enjoy including figures in your paintings, this is the place, with half a million visitors each year. There is ample free parking and numerous public restrooms.

Please note that some areas, such as the famous San Diego Zoo, charge admission and will require special arrangements for painters.
