Mike and Beth will each be submitting 3 paintings for jurying at Reflections XII, a show for disabled artists, sponsored by Cal-Diego PVA. Opening Reception is Friday, May 27, 6-9 pm at The NTC Promenade, 2640 Historic Decatur Road, San Diego, CA 92106. (Call 1-800-423-2778 for ticket information.)
Show runs May 26 to June 2, 2011.
UPDATE: Beth's painting, "White into Red" won First Place in Mixed Media.
Mike's painting, "On Monterey Bay" won First Place in Watercolors.
Beth and Mike have each had paintings selected for
inclusion in the Art Collection of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
They chose Beth's mixed media painting, "Discovering Gold",
and Mike's watercolor, "Quiet Harbor."
(Another of Mike's paintings, "Point Piņos" was already part of the collection.)
The paintings will be on display at MDA National Headquarters
in Tucson, AZ, and will be offered as part of traveling exhibitions
throughout the U.S.
